Tuesday, June 13th, LeadingAge received notice that based on advocacy efforts of LeadingAge and others that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has granted an extension for the comment period on the advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM), which proposes changes to the skilled nursing facility prospective payment system (SNF PPS). In its statement, CMS indicates that “granting an extension to the public comment period in this instance would further our overall objective to obtain public input on the potential refinements to the SNF PPS we are considering.”
